It rained...
no, correction- it poured - just like every other day this week.
This week has honestly been sooo cold, rainy and therefore, muddy!
On one particularly really rainy afternoon last week, I was sitting in my room sipping my coffee, thinking about what to watch so I could just relax after a long day. I was slightly stressed, really tired and just all around drained, but I felt a tugging on my heart that I was missing something. I just knew that I was missing out on a fun afternoon, so I grabbed a rain coat, dumped my coffee in a thermos and headed out into the weather.
Long story short, I found Emma and we ended up finding a group of hostel kids playing in the rain, so we threw off our coats and joined in with them. Mud sliding, mud fights, puddle hopping, duck-duck-goose in a giant puddle...we did it all. And it was a blast!!!
Probably one of the most therapeutic things I've done in a while ;)
I don't have much more time to take advantage of these MK adventures (and movies and coffee will always be around)!
After we were done playing, Emma and I just walking and talked in the rain for a while, and by the time I got home I was feeling much much better.
Sometimes we just need to learn to follow the tug on our hearts, even if we're nice and cozy and do the ridiculous. Sometimes we can take advantage of the rain. :) Thanks guys for the fun!

"And movies and coffee will always be around."
ReplyDeleteSo true! If we never leave our bubbles of comfort, we will never know the funnest joys in life.
Sounds like a fun way to spend a rainy day! :)
